Antihistamines: If you have done fine on antihistamines in the past, then try the following, can continue for several days until symptoms improve:

  • claritin, allegra or zyrtec once a day

  • benadryl at night

Natural antihistamines, if you tolerate any of the following you can use one or two of the below in addition to or instead of the medication antihistamines above:

  • Vitamin C: anywhere from 500mg to 2 grams a day

  • BCQ: dosing per bottle

  • Quercitin: 1 gram to 2 grams a day

  • D-Hist: dosing on bottle

In addition to antihistamines listed above, you can do one of the following:

  • Alka seltzer gold: make sure to get the “gold “ which is without aspirin, usually available on amazon. Can use 1-2 tablets in water up to three times a day if helpful to calm symptoms.

  • Ecological Formulas Tri-Salts: can order on Wellevate and take a dose a few times a day if helpful. This is similar to Alka Seltzer Gold so you wouldn’t need both, one or the other is fine.
